DeKalb county has raised taxes just in incoporated areas by, much as, 15%; while in unincoporated areas, they are seeing taxes remind the same. Chamblee's mayor Eric Clarkson said "I'm anxious to hear what they have to say" in a meeting of seven other Dekalb city mayors. They requested an explanation from the county, however Atlanta didn't join in on the request. I believe that if you do live in an incoporated area of DeKalb county, you shouldn't have to pay more in taxes then those who live in unincoporated areas. the ecomocy is bad right now, and most families are living from pay check to pay check; so if that's the case, why are is DeKalb taking more money from those just living in incoporated areas? Tax Differences Draw Questions in DeKalb makes some good points, and does raise some questions, and I say we do need an explanation from the county.
